Anti-Financial Crime Expert (Fintech)

Location: Onsite at the offices in Berlin or Munich, Germany. International relocation support is available if required, and an opportunity to work from abroad is mentioned as a benefit.

What you will do

• Review transaction-monitoring alerts and conduct thorough case investigations.
• Identify potential money laundering, terrorist financing, and other suspicious activities.
• Detect patterns and trends that may indicate financial crime.
• Document investigative findings accurately and prepare cases for reporting.
• Apply industry best practices and compliance requirements to operational AML/AFC workflows.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in an operational AML/AFC role or a related department within banking or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of transaction monitoring, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
• Ability to create thorough and precise case documentation.
• Sound risk-based decision-making and effective workflow prioritization.
• Fluent English and excellent German communication skills are required.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, proactivity, and motivation.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in a similar position.
• Experience in a neobank or digital banking environment.
