FinCrime AML/CTF Specialist (Fintech)

Location: Germany, Berlin; mandatory relocation to Luxembourg required. Hybrid work with three days per week in the office.

What you will do

• Manage transaction-monitoring workflows, analyze AML typologies, and create alerting systems and detection rules.
• Conduct enhanced due diligence on high-risk accounts, complex ownership structures, and jurisdictional risks.
• Investigate source-of-funds and source-of-wealth cases using documentation and data analysis.
• Assess complex sanctions and PEP screening alerts and prepare defensible dispositions.
• Draft and finalize Suspicious Activity Reports for fraud and AML cases.
• Resolve AML escalations, support QA reviews, and help translate regulatory updates into operational controls.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in first-line AML operations or a specialized compliance role.
• Experience handling complex entity structures and converting regulatory requirements into procedures.
• Expert knowledge of AML Directives, FATF recommendations, and Luxembourgish AML laws.
• Strong analytical and written communication skills, including regulatory reporting.
• Proficiency with external screening databases, transaction-monitoring systems, OSINT, company registers, and data tools.
• High ethical judgment, attention to detail, and discretion when handling sensitive customer information.
