Senior Backend Engineer (.NET)

What you will do

• Establish and guide the architecture of backend services and web applications.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs and microservices, primarily with .NET.
• Maintain and extend existing PHP Laravel applications and services.
• Integrate data from third-party systems, services, and databases.
• Improve reliability, scalability, performance, and observability while reducing technical debt.
• Review code, collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience developing large-scale backend systems and web applications.
• Strong .NET and C# experience, plus hands-on experience with PHP Laravel.
• Experience designing scalable backend services with high availability, low latency, and reliability.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, distributed systems, relational databases, caching, queuing, background jobs, and asynchronous processing.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests and applying software engineering principles such as SOLID and design patterns.
• Ability to communicate verbally in English and adapt to time zone differences.

Nice to have

• Experience leading technical initiatives or projects.
• Experience with cloud platforms, containerized environments, monitoring, and observability tools.
• Experience with foodtech or SaaS products.
