Director Technical Program Manager (TPM), Software

Location: Onsite at the Santa Clara, CA headquarters, United States

Salary: $225,000–$265,000 base salary per year, plus equity and comprehensive benefits.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end programs for software supporting current and future robot generations.
• Create and manage plans covering scope, timelines, resources, milestones, and delivery.
• Coordinate software, hardware, operations, customer-facing teams, and company leadership.
• Identify program risks and opportunities, develop mitigation strategies, and drive complex issues to resolution.
• Guide software engineering work toward customer and product needs, including autonomy, robot behaviors, and fleet management.
• Troubleshoot deployment issues and streamline development and delivery processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• 12+ years of program management experience, including software product development for autonomous systems.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and guiding software teams through advanced product development.
• Experience managing complex projects using Agile or Scrum while maintaining company goals and milestones.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, team-building, oral, and written communication skills.
• Must have and maintain US work authorization and meet all US person status requirements at the time of hire.

• Experience integrating AI solutions into engineering deliverables.
• Experience managing software products deployed in live operations.
• Strong understanding of software and hardware development processes and system integration.
• Experience delivering products certified for functional safety.
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate program management.
