Attribute Integration Engineer, Body and Interior Accessories (Automotive)

Location: Troy, Michigan. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Develop vehicle-level targets and implementation plans for Slate Access Points (SAPs).
• Oversee accessory and SAP integration, including requirements definition, virtual and physical feasibility, and vehicle-level validation.
• Identify and resolve accessory integration and design issues throughout vehicle development.
• Lead cross-functional accessory and SAP meetings with systems, components, packaging, manufacturing, service, and product development teams.
• Lead technical problem resolution, present recommended solutions to management, and maintain vehicle-level scorecards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of automotive vehicle development experience in Body and Interior at component, system, and vehicle levels.
• Experience with technical target setting, feasibility assessment, vehicle integration, and validation with statistical confidence.
• Functional knowledge of NHTSA, FMVSS, CARB, EPA, FCC, and other regulatory requirements.
• Technical writing and documentation experience, strong communication, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to travel up to 20%, lift up to 35 pounds, and stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

• Master’s degree.
• Design Release Engineering experience.
• Accessory or aftermarket part experience.
