TL;DR

Senior Data Engineer (AI) (Python/Kafka/Databricks/Snowflake): Building scalable real-time and batch data infrastructure, pipelines, and AI-powered data experiences for analytics, reporting, and intelligent platform workflows with an accent on streaming, data modeling, governance, and observability. Focus on designing distributed data systems, enabling natural-language data exploration and autonomous workflows, and optimizing cloud-based data platforms.

What you will do

Build scalable, high-performance data infrastructure that transforms raw and historical data into trusted insights.
Design, develop, and maintain real-time and batch data pipelines with Kafka, Databricks, Snowflake, and cloud-based data platforms.
Develop data solutions supporting business-critical reporting, analytics, and platform insights.
Build AI-powered data experiences for natural-language data exploration, intelligent agents, and autonomous workflows.
Design and optimize Star Schema and Data Vault data models while improving data quality, governance, observability, and platform performance.
Collaborate with Engineering, Analytics, and business stakeholders, mentor teammates, and contribute to data engineering best practices in an agile environment.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent education, training, and professional experience.
At least 3 years of experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable data platforms and distributed data systems.
Strong Python and SQL skills with hands-on experience building real-time streaming solutions.
Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Kafka, cloud infrastructure, and preferably AWS.
Knowledge of data warehousing, data lakes, ETL frameworks, Star Schema, Data Vault, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or DynamoDB.
Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code or Codex, plus strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.

Nice to have

Familiarity with Sigma or similar business intelligence tools.
Experience with Terraform, PagerDuty, and Datadog.
