Senior Data Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Paris, with 3 days per week required in the Paris office

What you will do

• Build and operate robust data pipelines that support changing business requirements.
• Contribute to the codebase, release and maintain production changes, and promote strong data engineering practices.
• Use AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and MCP-based internal tools for pipelines, migrations, testing, and documentation.
• Integrate AI into the data platform through LLM-assisted data quality checks, semantic layers, natural-language dataset access, and agent-driven internal tooling.
• Own projects from initial scoping through architecture design, technology benchmarking, release, and product feedback.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, data scientists, mobile game and consumer app teams, product, and marketing.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience in data engineering and ownership of production data systems.
• Strong Python, SQL, and data pipeline development skills.
• Experience with AWS, Spark, Scala, Terraform, Airflow, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with SQL technologies including Athena and StarRocks, as well as dbt.
• Ability to design architectures, estimate and scope projects, benchmark technologies, and maintain production code.
• Availability to work from the Paris office 3 days per week in a hybrid setup.
