TL;DR
Senior Data Engineer Consultant (Databricks): Designing and delivering scalable data engineering solutions for client engagements with an accent on cloud platforms, distributed systems, data modeling, and real-time integration. Focus on building robust pipelines, enabling CI/CD and DataOps practices, managing stakeholders, and mentoring consultants through complex project delivery.
Location: Antwerp, Belgium; flexible work across the office, home, and client sites.

What you will do
- Lead client engagements and co-design data engineering solutions with stakeholders.
- Build scalable data pipelines and architectures for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
- Design cloud and distributed data solutions using platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP, and frameworks such as Spark and Kafka.
- Develop data models and optimize relational, NoSQL, time-series, and graph database solutions.
- Implement batch, streaming, and real-time data integration together with CI/CD and DataOps practices.
- Develop ’s data engineering offerings, contribute to business development and thought leadership, and mentor junior and medior consultants.
Requirements
- Completed WO Master’s degree in Data Science, Econometrics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field with substantial programming.
- 3–6 years of relevant professional experience or equivalent academic research.
- Experience or interest in data engineering and data- and AI-related topics, with the ability to build expertise quickly.
- Strong analytical, structured problem-solving, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English with excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Fluent Dutch or French is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or Azure.
- Relevant sector experience or interest in Energy and Finance.
- Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated mentoring experience.
