Senior Data Engineer (AI) (Python/AWS/Snowflake): Building reliable data pipelines, ML infrastructure, and agentic systems that generate, test, and maintain data engineering workflows for a large e-commerce platform with an accent on production AI/LLM tooling, platform automation, and scalable data infrastructure. Focus on designing pipeline-generation systems, operationalizing machine-learning models, monitoring complex user journeys, and improving the reliability and performance of shared data assets.

What you will do
- Build and scale reliable, high-performance data ingestion pipelines for Snowflake across a large e-commerce business.
- Design and ship agentic systems that automate pipeline generation, testing, and maintenance.
- Develop and maintain ML pipelines that help data scientists operationalize models and integrate them with data infrastructure.
- Implement and improve monitoring across complex, multi-system user journeys.
- Collaborate with Analytics Engineers on data modeling and shared data asset reliability.
- Partner with product, analyst, and ML teams to deliver end-to-end data and AI solutions.
Requirements
- Must be located in Canada for this remote role.
- 7+ years of experience building production-grade systems at scale.
- Production experience with AI/LLM systems, including RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and tool integrations.
- Deep Python expertise and strong data engineering fundamentals, including data modeling and ETL.
- Proficiency with Airflow and dbt.
- Experience with AWS data resources including EC2, S3, Lambda, and EKS, plus Snowflake or a comparable cloud data warehouse.
