Shift Manager (Robotics Automation)

What you will do

• Oversee daily shift operations and team performance across robotic, automated, and warehouse execution systems.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize robotic vehicles, vertical lifts, automated adapters, and warehouse execution systems to improve uptime, throughput, and reliability.
• Interpret automation dashboards, alerts, and performance data to identify faults, adjust workflows, and maintain operational continuity.
• Lead root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and detailed escalations with maintenance, engineering, and tier support teams.
• Recruit, staff, train, coach, and develop shift employees while maintaining accountability and safety.
• Maintain SOPs, technical documentation, shift reports, system health metrics, and KPI reporting while coordinating with customer and internal teams.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, mechatronics, industrial automation, robotics, operations, supply chain, computer science, or a related technical field; equivalent hands-on experience is accepted.
• At least 3 years of experience with automation, robotics, electromechanical systems, maintenance, or industrial operations in manufacturing, logistics, fulfillment, or warehouse environments.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance experience with robotic automation or industrial control systems; exposure to PLCs, Allen-Bradley or Siemens, SQL, Linux, Python, HMIs, sensors, drives, and conveyors is preferred.
• Strong understanding of warehouse automation, material flow, operational workflows, safety standards, and high-volume fulfillment or manufacturing environments.
• Business English and Spanish fluency are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in the Bajío technical labor market, including Querétaro, Guanajuato, San Luis Potosí, Aguascalientes, and surrounding industrial corridors.
• Experience engaging with technical fairs, trade schools, universities, polytechnic institutes, or vocational programs focused on automation and advanced manufacturing.

• Physical work includes climbing steep stairs, working at heights up to 45 feet, navigating spaces as narrow as 24 inches, and standing or walking for 10–12 hours.
• Ability to work in warehouse temperatures from 32°F to 105°F and use PPE such as hard hats, safety shoes, eye and hearing protection, and harnesses.
• Must frequently lift up to 50 lbs, occasionally move up to 80 lbs, and comply with Lockout/Tagout and fall-protection protocols.
