Engineering Manager (Robotics AI)

What you will do

• Hire, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of Robotic Foundation Model Application Engineers.
• Act as the technical lead and escalation point for NeuraGym users, managing feasibility and data collection.
• Oversee the full NeuraGym pipeline including teleoperation, annotation, training, simulation, and deployment.
• Collaborate with on-site Robotics Engineers to ensure safety standards and desired robot behavior.
• Facilitate cross-functional alignment between Cloud and AI teams.
• Define and track team KPIs such as skill success rate and data efficiency.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on machine learning experience in robotics, specifically in vision-based manipulation, reinforcement/imitation learning, or multimodal foundation models.
• 2+ years of people management or formal technical leadership experience.
• Solid Python skills and practical experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Must be comfortable working directly with real robot hardware.
• Proficiency in English and German (B2–C1 level required).

Nice to have

• Experience with C++.
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with robotic simulation tools like IsaacSim or MuJoCo.
