Software Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in San Francisco, United States

Salary: $180,000–$350,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Build Knowledge Systems that extract, connect, retrieve, and reason over information from the web and beyond.
• Develop systems capable of answering factual questions about people and the wider world.
• Design a query language for searching, traversing, and reasoning over billions of facts.
• Build and maintain complex distributed backend systems.
• Develop data pipelines processing petabytes of documents, metadata, and unstructured data.
• Optimize systems for correctness, reliability, scale, and high-quality information retrieval.

Requirements

• Experience building and maintaining complex distributed backend systems.
• Experience building data pipelines for documents, metadata, and unstructured data at petabyte scale.
• Ability to optimize systems for correctness, reliability, and scale.
• Strong focus on data quality and identifying high-quality information.
• Willingness to work in person in San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Experience with graph traversal, entity resolution, data quality, or truth discovery systems.
