Compliance Officer (Fintech)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid with 3 days a week in the office

What you will do

• Own and deliver compliance monitoring, identify emerging risks, assess customer impact, and drive proportionate remediation.
• Prepare clear compliance updates and Board-level reporting for senior management.
• Track FCA developments and translate regulatory changes into practical business actions.
• Review and improve compliance policies, frameworks, and the control environment.
• Advise business stakeholders on compliance matters, product development, regulatory risk, and strategic initiatives.
• Support complex customer cases, AML assessments, financial crime oversight, and the MLRO.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in retail financial services, compliance, first-line controls, or customer-outcome-focused operations.
• Working knowledge of FCA Handbook requirements and practical understanding of Consumer Duty.
• Strong judgement, risk assessment, written, and numerical skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.
• Clear and confident communication skills, including engagement with executive-level stakeholders.
• Ability to work from the London office 3 days per week in a hybrid arrangement.
