Director, Procurement (Technology & Product)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: USD 162,400–202,900 gross annual base salary, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable.

What you will do

• Lead and develop the Technology & Product Procurement team, setting priorities and building category expertise.
• Own procurement strategy, supplier ecosystems, and sourcing roadmaps across enterprise software, SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, hardware, telecom, data, AI, developer tools, cybersecurity, and technology services.
• Partner with Technology, Product, Engineering, Data, Information Security, IT, Finance, and Legal leaders to align sourcing with roadmaps, architecture, investment priorities, and growth plans.
• Lead complex sourcing initiatives and negotiations for software renewals, cloud commitments, enterprise licensing, AI and data arrangements, and global technology services.
• Use spend, demand, utilization, benchmark, and supplier-market analysis to identify optimization, consolidation, competitive sourcing, and supplier-rationalization opportunities.
• Coordinate contractual, regulatory, cybersecurity, privacy, compliance, and third-party risk management while representing Procurement as a strategic advisor.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, procurement, vendor management, or a related commercial function, including substantial technology or product category responsibility.
• Experience leading teams and developing Procurement professionals in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Deep knowledge of SaaS and enterprise licensing, cloud and consumption-based pricing, data, AI, infrastructure, hardware, telecom, cybersecurity, and professional services.
• Proven success with high-value negotiations, category strategies, total cost of ownership, demand and utilization analysis, benchmarking, and unit economics.
• Strong executive presence and the ability to influence VP, SVP, and C-suite stakeholders. A gaming license issued by the appropriate state agency may be required as a condition of employment.

Nice to have

• Experience in sports betting, iGaming, fantasy sports, technology, financial services, or another regulated industry.
