Support Technician II (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Denver, United States. Regular travel of up to 25% and short-term travel of up to 50% may be required to support deployed assets. Working hours may vary; the regular shift is Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM, with an on-call rotation.

Salary: $27–$39 per hour.

What you will do

• Monitor autonomous vehicle and AV kit status and respond to field and test-site issues.
• Perform fault isolation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs with minimal direction.
• Document equipment problems, troubleshooting procedures, repair procedures, and root causes.
• Collaborate with engineers during design reviews and continuous improvement activities.
• Follow site-specific safety procedures, identify risks, and support mitigation updates.
• Communicate active issues, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, escalations, and handoffs to customers and internal teams.

Requirements

• High school diploma and a valid driver’s license with the ability to drive a bobtail yard truck.
• More than two years of relevant electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Ability to use mechanical and basic electrical tools, including voltage measurement and crimping tools.
• Familiarity with vehicle subsystems such as braking, steering, pneumatics, hydraulics, and cabling.
• Ability to diagnose vehicle mechanical issues and use Linux-based systems for basic operational tasks.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, work at heights of up to 10 feet, and operate in confined spaces.

Nice to have

• More than four years of technician experience.
• Advanced Linux, Bash scripting, and system-level experience.
• Autonomous robotics, autonomous vehicle, electric powertrain, or electric vehicle experience.
• Military vehicle or aircraft maintenance experience.
• Experience supporting electronic control systems, high-voltage battery systems, and low-voltage systems.
