Senior Engineer II - Information Security Systems (Cybersecurity)

Location: Boulder, Colorado, United States. Occasional travel to client sites in other states, typically 3–5 days and less than once per quarter.

Annual base salary: $70,304–$205,000, plus restricted stock units and quarterly bonus payments.

What you will do

• Implement and sustain continuous monitoring for system and common security controls, including vulnerability scanning, patch compliance, and SIEM log analysis.
• Correlate monitoring results, assess control effectiveness, prioritize risk, and lead remediation with system and network teams.
• Conduct technical security assessments using Tenable, DISA STIGs, CIS Benchmarks, and NIST guidelines.
• Engineer and integrate security controls into virtualized platforms, shared storage, and mission network architectures.
• Translate NIST and CNSS controls into secure technical designs and implementations.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting for Linux and Windows servers and endpoints, Cisco network devices, shared drives, and enterprise file systems.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI Poly required.
• US citizenship required; candidates must meet US export-control eligibility requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience with expertise in NIST RMF and related standards.
• Experience supporting Linux and Windows servers and endpoints, Cisco network devices, and enterprise storage systems.
• Hands-on experience with Tenable/ACAS, Splunk/ELK, and HBSS/ESS.
