Associate Quality Assurance Engineer (SSD)

Location: Batu Kawan, Penang, Malaysia; onsite at the Penang SDSM Office

What you will do

• Monitor Outgoing Quality Assurance and Ongoing Reliability Test activities, identify quality trends, and resolve anomalies.
• Conduct failure analysis, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions for SSD product quality issues.
• Define, maintain, and optimize SSD quality test flows and automated test programs.
• Create and maintain product performance and reliability reports for data-driven improvement.
• Analyze quality data using statistical methods and applicable machine learning models, and maintain automation scripts for testing and reporting.
• Collaborate with R&D, firmware, manufacturing, engineering, and customer support teams on SSD reliability and quality improvements.

Requirements

• Fresh graduates only with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of computer architecture, hardware testing, reliability analysis, and fault investigation.
• Knowledge of or strong interest in NAND Flash storage technology.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as C++, C#, Python, or SQL, for data analysis and automated testing.
• Good English reading and writing skills are required for technical documentation and communication.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, learning ability, and adaptability.

Nice to have

• Experience with automation testing tools or scripting languages such as Python.
• Familiarity with data analysis, database management, SQL queries, or data visualization tools.
• Experience with Big Data and AI.
• Relevant projects or internships.
