Lead Backend & Data Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Design, build, and optimize Apache Beam data ingestion pipelines running on Dataflow and Flink.
• Structure multi-hop ISO GQL graph queries to trace physical and logical data provenance.
• Develop scalable FastAPI backend services and optimize Google Cloud Spanner performance with advanced gRPC connection pooling.
• Define Pydantic API contracts for integration with LangChain and LangGraph.
• Design architectures separating synchronous request handling from long-running asynchronous processing.
• Develop Temporal workflows and horizontally scalable workers with retries, compensation mechanisms, state management, and AI routing logic.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with Python and modern backend development.
• Deep expertise in Apache Beam and distributed data processing, including windowing, watermarks, and idempotent writes.
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Spanner or another distributed SQL database.
• Working knowledge of ISO GQL, Cypher, or Gremlin.
• Advanced asynchronous Python development with FastAPI and Pydantic, plus experience with Temporal or Cadence.
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher required.
