Localization Web Developer (React)

Location: Remote within the United States for residents of CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, KS, MD, ME, MA, NJ, NC, NY, OH, OR, TN, TX, VA, or WA. Hybrid work is available through offices in Austin, Texas, and Tampa, Florida. Hiring is not available within Chicago city limits unless the candidate is willing to self-relocate outside the city.

Salary: $65,000–$100,000 per year for roles based in California, Colorado, Maryland, New Jersey, Washington, or New York.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable internationalized UI solutions in React.
• Integrate localization into React components, manage localization files, and preserve performance, accessibility, and translation quality.
• Extract UI strings, coordinate translations with internal teams and external vendors, and respond to translator questions.
• Validate localized builds across languages and regions, support localization QA, and resolve UI, layout, and functional issues.
• Manage localization readiness for product releases and bridge Front-end Engineering, Localization, Design, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 3+ years of professional front-end or software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience with React, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Experience with localization engineering, internationalization, adaptive UI, and responsive design.
• Bilingual communication skills in English and at least one additional language.
• Experience with reusable component-based UI, design systems, Figma, Storybook, Python scripting, CAT tools, and front-end testing frameworks.
