Intern - Operations Strategy & Solutions (m/f/d)

Location: Frankfurt, Hesse, Germany — onsite. Full-time internship for 6–12 months.

What you will do

• Support the planning, execution, and follow-up of Lean Operations, Maintenance, and TPM improvement projects within global teams.
• Research emerging best practices, methodologies, tools, and digital enablers for Digital Lean transformation.
• Benchmark Lean practices against industry trends and prepare structured reports and knowledge repositories.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to turn research findings into practical recommendations.
• Prepare and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities for Digital Lean capability building.
• Develop and optimize Power BI dashboards for maintenance workflows and Performance Management, and prepare GenAI-supported training materials including edited videos.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Engineering, Digital Business, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on interest in Lean projects, TPM, or Maintenance improvement initiatives.
• Strong digital skills, including proficiency with GenAI tools and modern research methods.
• Academic exposure to Lean management, digital transformation, or process improvement.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work independently.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or similar.
• Familiarity with Lean or agile methodologies such as Kaizen, Six Sigma, or Scrum.
