Location: On-site in Lyon or Angoulême, France, or Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain

What you will do
- Develop Houdini tools, scripts, and workflows supporting production and artistic teams.
- Contribute to the development, integration, and evolution of the pipeline using Gaffer.
- Provide daily technical support, troubleshoot issues, and debug existing and new tools.
- Design and maintain complex tool architectures for the flow and integration of 3D data.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a Technical Director in VFX and CFX pipelines.
- Strong Python and VEX skills.
- Excellent technical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for complex workflows.
- Strong understanding of production processes and artist workflows in film and animation.
- Understanding of rendering concepts, including ray tracing, shaders, and technical AOVs.
- Good command of 3D data formats such as VDB, Alembic, and USD, with the ability to work autonomously and rigorously.
Nice to have
- Good command of French and English.
- Experience integrating tools into existing pipelines or new architectures.
- Knowledge of Houdini scripting, including HOM, HScript, and HDA.
- Knowledge of 3D mathematics, C++, Gaffer, Katana, Solaris, or Maya.
