TL;DR
IS Technician LDAR I (Environmental Monitoring): Inspecting industrial components and documenting fugitive VOC emissions using analyzers and OGI cameras with an accent on EPA compliance, field data management, and site safety. Focus on calibrating monitoring equipment, tagging leaking components, coordinating repairs, and working safely in physically demanding industrial environments.

Location: Ponca City, Oklahoma, United States; onsite work at an industrial customer site

Salary: $14.42–$28.85 per hour

What you will do

  • Inspect valves, connectors, pumps, tanks, and other industrial components for volatile organic compound leaks.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain Toxic Vapor Analyzers, Flame Ionization Detectors, and Optical Gas Imaging cameras.
  • Record inspection results, tag leaking components, and manage inventory in LeakDAS, GuideWare, and SkyBridge.
  • Apply EPA environmental requirements, including 40 CFR Subpart 60, and follow site safety procedures.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to report leaks and verify completed repairs.
  • Perform strenuous field work in refineries, petrochemical facilities, utilities, pulp and paper mills, and other industrial environments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • TWIC required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to wear required protective equipment, including Nomex coveralls, rubber boots, a breathing mask, escape pack, and hard hat.
  • Ability to walk long distances, stand for extended periods, climb ladders or scaffolding up to 300 feet, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in extreme heat, humidity, subzero temperatures, dust, fumes, exhaust, and high-pressure fluids.

  • Confined space entry training.
