Software Engineer II (Fullstack)

Location: Brisbane, Australia; primarily office-based and hybrid working environment

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications and backend services using .NET/C#, Vue.js, TypeScript, and Python.
• Develop and enhance microservices and REST APIs within cloud-native solutions.
• Collaborate with product management, quality assurance, UX, and engineering teams in an Agile environment.
• Investigate software defects, performance issues, and production incidents.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, technical design, and documentation.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, deployments, automation, and ongoing maintenance of customer-facing products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Commercial software development experience or equivalent internship or university project experience.
• Experience with object-oriented programming and exposure to C#, .NET, Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Understanding of web application development fundamentals and familiarity with Git.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Eagerness to learn and grow as a software engineer in an Agile team.

Nice to have

• Experience with .NET, C#, Vue.js, React, Angular, TypeScript, or modern JavaScript development.
• Understanding of REST APIs, service-oriented or microservices architectures, and cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, Docker, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Personal, academic, or open-source software project experience.
• Interest in healthcare technology and improving customer outcomes.
