Data Engineer (Azure/Databricks)

Location: Remote within Spain time zone; CET working hours

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
• Build Python-based data processing and transformation solutions for large and complex datasets.
• Contribute to modern Azure data architectures using Medallion Architecture principles.
• Support Data Vault and Business Vault implementations with Databricks on Azure.
• Work with Microsoft Fabric and OneLake, including shortcuts for cross-platform data access.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, analysts, and stakeholders to improve data quality, performance, automation, security, and governance.

Requirements

• Professional experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
• Good programming skills in Python.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT, data transformation, data modelling, cloud data platforms, and large-scale data processing.
• Good understanding of SQL and relational data concepts.
• Availability to work remotely within Spain and during CET working hours.

Nice to have

• Experience with Medallion Architecture, Data Vault, or Business Vault methodologies.
• Experience implementing Data Vault solutions with Databricks on Azure.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, OneLake shortcuts, and Azure Data Warehouse modelling.
• Background in financial services or wealth management.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and modern cloud data architecture.
