TL;DR
Senior Software Developer (PHP/MySQL): Building and enhancing order management applications and services in an agile environment with an accent on testable code, distributed systems, and cloud deployments. Focus on developing PHP backend features, integrating internal APIs and AWS queue services, and resolving critical production issues.
Location: Hybrid in Morrisville, North Carolina, at the HQ; remote candidates are accepted only in the Eastern or Central time zones. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

What you will do
- Develop new features, enhance existing functionality, and fix bugs in order management systems.
- Analyze, design, develop, deploy, and support applications in an Agile environment.
- Write well-designed, testable code using containerized deployments and continuous integration testing.
- Work with e-commerce teams and end users to improve day-to-day application operations and solve problems.
- Integrate with internal APIs, distributed services, microservices, and AWS queue systems.
- Resolve critical production downtime issues and share technical knowledge with team members.
Requirements
- Senior-level software development experience with PHP 8.x and an MVC framework such as Laminas/Zend, Laravel, or Symfony.
- Experience with PHPUnit, Pest, Cypress, or Playwright for unit and integration testing, plus familiarity with XDebug.
- Experience with AWS, including ECS, Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, and infrastructure as code with Terraform.
- Experience with Docker, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automated deployments.
- Experience with relational databases and query optimization using MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MSSQL.
- Bachelor’s degree with at least three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Vue and TypeScript for customer-facing experiences.
- Experience with Monday or Linear for task management.
- Comfort with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Codex.
