What you will do

• Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts and deposit accounts accurately and on schedule.
• Identify out-of-balance conditions, unusual activity, aged items, and system outages, escalating issues as needed.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly accounting reports for Finance, Audit, and SOX reporting.
• Research complex issues, resolve problems, and help formulate operational solutions.
• Collaborate with internal cross-functional groups, business partners, and investors to resolve inquiries and issues.
• Lead projects, support new business initiatives, and mentor less experienced staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a financial field, or four years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with account reconciliation, accounting reporting, and researching complex or aged items.
• Ability to follow accounting, compliance, operational risk, and internal control policies.
• Ability to support GAAP-compliant financial statements, audit requirements, and SOX-related reporting.
• Ability to communicate with cross-functional stakeholders and train less experienced staff.
