Senior Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE)

Location: Reston, Virginia, United States; full-time onsite at the customer location with no telework

What you will do

• Design, develop, and integrate secure network and system architectures for mission-critical classified programs.
• Provide technical expertise for DIA certification and accreditation and information assurance requirements.
• Support the Risk Management Framework across the system design lifecycle, including IATT, ATC, and ATO activities.
• Configure and validate security systems and physical controls, test security products, and develop comprehensive system test plans.
• Analyze vulnerability scans and security findings, prioritize remediation, and implement corrective measures.
• Participate in incident response and collaborate with stakeholders to align security and business requirements.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph required.
• Bachelor’s degree and four years of relevant experience; equivalent master’s degree substitutions may apply.
• Hold or attain CySA+ or an equivalent IAT Level II certification.
• Advanced Windows administration and Linux proficiency, including experience deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting security tools.
• Experience with ACAS, Trellix, Splunk, and STIGs.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and attention-to-detail skills in complex environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with tiered security environments, commercial government cloud accreditation, SAP control assessment, or ongoing authorizations and assessments.
• Advanced PowerShell scripting and Windows administration expertise.
• Knowledge of Splunk architecture and multi-level queries.
• Experience with C2S Cloud or DevOpsSec.
