Staff Mobile Engineer (Android)

Location: Remote in the United States or Canada; occasional travel may be required for project or team meetings.

Salary: $171,120–$251,600 annually, depending on location.

What you will do

• Build and own mobile SDKs for identity, authentication, fraud detection, and prevention.
• Work deeply with device internals and complex signal collection to improve identification of bad actors.
• Partner with product and engineering leadership to define direction and deliver customer-facing capabilities.
• Drive architecture, technical decisions, design documentation, code reviews, and cross-team initiatives.
• Improve production quality through observability, incident response, and remediation.
• Mentor engineers through pairing, feedback, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional mobile engineering experience.
• Android development experience with Kotlin or Java.
• Expertise in mobile ecosystems, frameworks, and third-party libraries.
• Strong software engineering, monitoring, observability, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience leading technical initiatives and making high-impact technical decisions.
• Availability for non-standard hours, including on-call weekend and holiday rotations.

Nice to have

• iOS development experience.
• Familiarity with Kotlin Multiplatform, C, C++, Swift, or Go.
• Experience building developer tools or SDKs.
