Contracting Project Manager (HVAC)

Location: Suzhou, Jiangsu, China; on-site five days per week. The role may require assignment to projects in other provinces and cities.

What you will do

• Manage HVAC engineering projects across planning, preparation, installation, commissioning, trial operation, acceptance, and final settlement.
• Set and track project objectives for safety, quality, schedule, pricing, and cost.
• Organize on-site installation and construction activities according to design drawings and contract requirements.
• Coordinate owners, general contractors, supervisors, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities.
• Manage technical and commercial handovers, material and subcontractor procurement requests, and project issue resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in HVAC or a related field.
• At least three years of HVAC engineering project management experience.
• Experience with design, planning, contracts, tendering and procurement, construction coordination, and engineering cost management.
• Ability to identify and control safety, quality, schedule, pricing, and other project risks.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings, calculate quantities, and use CAD; experience managing integrated MEP installation projects.
• Good spoken and written English; willingness to work on-site and accept assignments in other provinces and cities.

Nice to have

• First- or second-level Construction Engineer certification or international PMP certification.
• Understanding of air-conditioning system controls.
