Project Controls Specialist 4 (Scheduling) (Nuclear): Establishing and maintaining cost and schedule baselines for complex Small Modular Reactor projects with an accent on Primavera P6, earned value management, and integrated master scheduling. Focus on critical path analysis, forensic schedule analysis for claims, change control, and Level 2 and 3 milestone reporting.

Location: Houston, TX, United States; this position is based out of the Houston office.

Salary: $124,400–$150,138 annually; full pay range $111,531–$174,446 annually.

What you will do

  • Establish project controls governance, work breakdown structures, control hierarchies, and project schedules for large, complex projects.
  • Build and maintain cost and schedule baselines in Oracle Primavera P6, including resource loading and milestones.
  • Prepare project status reports covering earned value metrics, schedule performance, approved changes, cost forecasts, revenue, and milestone completion.
  • Identify, mature, approve, and implement changes to project baselines while maintaining project charge codes.
  • Integrate external schedules into the Integrated Master Schedule and perform critical path and forensic schedule analysis.
  • Support monthly accruals with Project Accounting and mentor junior project controls staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Accounting, or Business Administration, or 12 years of directly relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least eight years of experience in project planning, scheduling, or project controls, including work on multiple large projects.
  • Experience with Oracle Primavera P6, claims analysis, and forensic schedule analysis.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, technical writing, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Eligible to work under Department of Energy regulation 10 CFR, Part 810.
  • Ability to follow quality requirements including 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree or current AACE certification.
  • Nuclear industry experience.
  • Additional technical working experience.
