Associate Producer (Licensing and Syndication)

Location: 30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, New York; hybrid schedule requiring office work at least four days per week

Salary: $65,000–$80,000 yearly

hirify.global is a media and entertainment company producing and distributing film, television, streaming, news, sports, and theme park content through brands including NBC News, Dateline, Peacock, Universal Pictures, and DreamWorks Animation.

What you will do

• Support the adaptation, updating, and distribution of NBC News longform programs for licensing and syndication partners.
• Research and fact-check existing stories by reviewing court records, contacting attorneys and interview subjects, and updating legal or story details.
• Assist with shoots, organize media for editing, screen episodes for quality control, and update scripts and archival records.
• Create rights and clearances spreadsheets, procure archival footage, and prepare music cue sheets.
• Coordinate with producers, technical and operations staff, and external resources.

Requirements

• At least two years of editorial production experience in longform programming for broadcast, streaming, or cable networks.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong journalistic writing, research, and editorial judgment skills.
• Ability to quickly learn applications and programs such as iNEWS, Airtable, and Media Central.
• Ability to work from the New York office at least four days per week under the current hybrid schedule.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of NBC News policies, guidelines, and practices.
• Strong interest in true crime, investigative journalism, and current events.
• Experience editing with non-linear editing systems, especially Avid.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
