Production Tech 1 - Optics

Location: Rochester, New York, United States; onsite manufacturing environment. Second shift, with availability required to train on the first shift for up to three months.

Pay: $15.28–$28.58 per hour, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Operate CNC dicing saws to cut optical glass.
• Clean, measure, label, and organize diced optical products.
• Prioritize workflow and perform quality assurance checks.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on production equipment.
• Work with the operations team and report to the Production Supervisor.

Requirements

• At least one year of related production-environment experience.
• Ability to read technical drawings and use measurement instruments.
• Ability to read and carefully follow work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product defects.
• Good manual dexterity, coordination, and fine hand-assembly skills.
• Ability to use computers and Microsoft Office and lift or position objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Associate degree, military technical training, or equivalent vocational training.
• Machinist or CNC experience.
