Director, Developer Marketing (AI)

Location: HQ in San Francisco; U.S.-based role context

Salary: $210,000–$230,000 gross base annual salary in New York, California, Washington, Colorado, and Rhode Island

What you will do

• Build and lead Redis's standalone Developer Marketing function.
• Develop developer advocacy through events, hackathons, speaking engagements, and workshops.
• Create and commission how-to guides, demo applications, reference implementations, and technical content.
• Build developer communities across Reddit, Stack Overflow, Discord, and Slack while sharing community insights with Product.
• Drive developer sign-ups and improve developer sentiment, agent recommendation, and third-party validation.

Requirements

• Experience running or scaling a developer relations, developer marketing, or community function, preferably at a developer-tools or infrastructure company.
• Technical credibility with developers and an understanding of the needs of engineers building production AI agents.
• Track record of producing or commissioning developer content that is actively used, including guides, demo apps, and reference implementations.
• Experience using leading indicators such as sign-ups, sentiment, third-party validation, and agent recommendation.
• Strong perspective and network in the AI-builder ecosystem.
• Focused operating style, bias toward shipping, and sound prioritization judgment.
