Electrical Engineer - HVAC Systems

Location: Lexington, Kentucky, United States; onsite Monday through Thursday, with a flexible work location on Fridays; travel up to 15% required.

Annual base salary: $60,000–$86,169.99.

What you will do

• Support new product development for Airside Data Center Fan Coil Wall and Computer Room Air Handler products, focusing on electrical design and integration.
• Contribute to concept development, electrical design, design verification, qualification, and validation activities.
• Develop wiring concepts, component integration requirements, engineering drawings, models, bills of material, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, operations, manufacturing, quality, product management, laboratory, and other cross-functional teams.
• Support engineering changes, design standardization, root cause analysis, and resolution of design, quality, and reliability issues.
• Incorporate manufacturing and field feedback into product improvements and support year-over-year margin improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• At least three years of experience in design engineering, product engineering, or new product development.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, product documentation, bills of material, and engineering drawing or model processes.
• Strong analytical, technical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments and collaborate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, operations, and product teams.
• Ability to work onsite Monday through Thursday in Lexington and travel up to 15%.

Nice to have

• Experience with electrical systems, controls integration, product validation, qualification, or continuous product improvement.
• Experience in HVAC, air handling equipment, data center cooling products, or related engineered product environments.
• Experience supporting new product enhancement or margin improvement initiatives.
