Technician I, Production - Pouch (Medical Manufacturing)

Location: Marion, North Carolina, United States. Onsite work on the 2nd shift, 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m.; availability for most holidays, some weekends, plant shutdown periods, and required overtime is expected.

What you will do

• Operate, monitor, and adjust multi-up printers, manual filling machines, Emplex sealing machines, truck loaders, and powered industrial trucks.
• Load production supplies, execute batch, code, sublot, and tank changes, and maintain materials according to bills of materials and production documents.
• Perform minor preventive maintenance, including alignment adjustments, part and belt replacement, cleaning, and lubrication, while supporting TPM activities.
• Complete scheduled quality checks, inspect finished products, investigate deviations, and stop or escalate production when safety, quality, or mechanical issues occur.
• Document manufacturing, cleaning, and quality information in logs and the POMS system.
• Support line-staff training and train new Production Technician I employees on assigned processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Basic English written and oral communication skills are required to communicate with team members and understand safety, quality, and work instructions.
• Basic mathematics, calculator, measurement-tool, hand-tool, and computer skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, words, and drawings.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and perform regular reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, climbing, squatting, twisting, and balancing.

Nice to have

• Production technician or manufacturing experience involving preventive maintenance and machine troubleshooting.
