Technology Specialist II - Data Architect - Digital and Technology Partners - Hybrid/Remote (Azure)

Location: Hybrid/remote role based at 150 E 42nd Street, New York, NY, with onsite attendance required weekly/monthly and onsite interviews.

Salary: $120,000–$180,060 annually.

What you will do

• Design and document data architecture, system integrations, and implementation approaches for current and future IT solutions.
• Develop architectures for data collection, movement, storage, transformation, ETL, data warehousing, big data, streaming, and pipelines.
• Analyze business processes and functional requirements and translate them into technical designs and solution alternatives.
• Evaluate technologies, applications, operating models, costs, benefits, risks, and operational readiness.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional task forces defining requirements, workflows, information sources, and system specifications.
• Advise business partners on solution consequences and risks and communicate recommendations to management and executives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Seven or more years of relevant professional development experience, preferably in data engineering, and ten years of related experience overall.
• In-depth knowledge of Azure, including Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Strong SQL and NoSQL database experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL/MySQL, MongoDB, or similar technologies.
• Experience with Python and at least one of Scala or Java, RESTful APIs, big data software, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and streaming tools.
• Experience with cloud architecture, Agile methodologies, and integration of internal and external APIs and systems; healthcare technology experience is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, serverless computing, virtual machines, cloud security, and other cloud services.
• Experience with JIRA and open-source technologies.
• Master’s degree and healthcare technology background.
