Senior Data Scientist (Operations Research)

Location: Hybrid in Amsterdam, Netherlands, with flexibility to work from home and the Amsterdam office

What you will do

• Extract insights from operational and flight data sources.
• Build and productionize AI/ML models for flight-delay prediction, maintenance planning, and crew scheduling.
• Contribute to large-scale optimization and simulation projects.
• Develop tools that make operational processes more transparent for planners and crews.
• Work with real-time data and calculations to improve passenger and crew experiences.
• Test, monitor, and maintain models in live production environments.

Requirements

• Background in data science, business analytics, or operations research.
• 4–6 years of experience as a data scientist or machine learning professional.
• Hands-on experience with modeling, analysis, and deploying machine learning models to production.
• Knowledge of open-source technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Airflow, or Kubernetes.
• Customer-focused, results-oriented approach and willingness to learn through challenging work.
