Data Engineer Consultant (AI): Building cloud-based data and AI infrastructure, server-side Python tools, CI/CD platforms, and ETL pipelines for client projects and Sia's own AI solutions with an accent on cloud architecture, container orchestration, and machine learning services. Focus on automating deployment, optimizing infrastructure costs, securing applications, and supporting the full code lifecycle from development to maintenance.

What you will do
- Design and manage cloud architectures across GCP, AWS, and Azure, including storage, compute, access management, Infrastructure as Code, and cost optimization.
- Containerize and orchestrate applications with Docker and Kubernetes, including clusters adapted to Data Science workloads.
- Develop Python server-side tools for bulk data processing, REST APIs, authentication, and related services.
- Manage CI/CD integration and deployment for applications, internal platforms, and Data Science projects.
- Build ETL scripts and data pipelines in Big Data environments.
- Implement infrastructure and services that help Data Scientists train and serve machine learning models.
Requirements
- Master’s degree with a strong quantitative component, such as Econometrics, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Quantitative Finance.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in Data, DevOps, Cloud, or Software Engineering.
- Strong Python skills, experience with another programming language, and familiarity with at least one SQL DBMS; PostgreSQL is preferred.
- Experience or strong interest in cloud platforms, Docker, CI/CD automation, Kubernetes, Git, and Infrastructure as Code concepts.
- Experience implementing application security measures, including certificate management, HTTPS, OAuth2, and credential management.
- Excellent English and Dutch verbal and written skills are required; non-Dutch speakers will not be accepted.
