Data Science Consultant (AI)

Location: Maastricht, Netherlands. The role is associated with the Amsterdam Data Science team and requires fluent English and Dutch. Work permit sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Consultants on multidisciplinary client projects.
• Identify business challenges and extract actionable insights from data.
• Develop statistical models, optimization solutions, and advanced machine learning applications.
• Apply Generative AI and large language models to create innovative client solutions.
• Present analytical results clearly and support client workshops.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Econometrics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field with substantial programming.
• 1–3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong Python skills and proficiency in at least one additional analytical language, such as R or SQL.
• Solid knowledge of machine learning, optimization methods, and Generative AI.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Dutch.
• Analytical thinking, clear communication, and the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable recommendations.

Nice to have

• Exposure to or interest in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Additional language skills.
