What you will do

• Execute the corporate media relations strategy and build relationships with target publications, editors and journalists.
• Develop communications plans, including press releases, media alerts, story ideas, exclusives and responses to media enquiries.
• Manage LinkedIn and executive social media content while monitoring engagement, impact and issues.
• Coordinate communications planning across global and in-market teams to align messaging and support local and international storytelling.
• Build strategic external partnerships and lead participation in industry conferences, events and awards.
• Advise executive leadership, functional heads and subject matter experts while providing direction to communications teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in external corporate communications.
• Proven experience delivering UK and international media relations and building brand reputation across global markets.
• Strong relationships with editors and journalists, with the ability to manage a high-volume news agenda.
• Excellent storytelling, messaging and written communication skills across press releases, social media and thought leadership.
• Experience working cross-functionally and with C-suite stakeholders in fast-paced, ambiguous and cross-cultural environments.
• Global sport, entertainment or technology experience is preferred; high-growth or startup experience is highly desirable.
