Engineer, Embedded Software (Automotive)

What you will do

• Develop, configure, integrate, and validate embedded software for automotive ECUs and vehicle electrification programs under senior engineering guidance.
• Implement software in C/C++, model-based generated code, and AUTOSAR components.
• Integrate application and basic software, communication interfaces, diagnostics, memory services, and bootloader-related features.
• Support cybersecurity features including secure communication, secure boot, secure software updates, key management, and HSM interface integration.
• Prepare software design notes, implementation documentation, test evidence, and requirements traceability records.
• Debug software issues, investigate root causes, participate in reviews, and support verification activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 3 years of experience in embedded software, automotive software, controls software, or related coursework, internships, co-ops, or projects.
• Basic programming experience in C or C++ and familiarity with embedded software concepts, microcontrollers, memory, interrupts, and real-time constraints.
• Good communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a team and follow technical direction.
• Ability and willingness to learn automotive engineering practices, project tools, and software development processes.

Nice to have

• Exposure to automotive ECUs, AUTOSAR, CAN, LIN, Ethernet, diagnostics, bootloaders, or model-based development.
• Awareness of cybersecurity concepts such as authentication, encryption, secure communication, secure boot, software updates, or key management.
• Familiarity with Jira, Polarion, Azure DevOps, Git, or similar lifecycle and configuration management tools.
• Awareness of ASPICE, ISO 26262, or ISO/SAE 21434.
