Data Operations Analyst

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria. Hybrid model: 3 days working from home and 2 days from the office each week.

Compensation: up to €2,000 monthly.

What you will do

• Build data extractors for parsing e-receipts using proprietary markup language and regular expressions.
• Debug, fine-tune, and validate extraction templates with SQL and BI tools.
• Run data quality checks, investigate anomalies in U.S. retail data, and create reports for client-facing teams.
• Write and optimize SQL queries and Databricks notebooks for large-scale analysis.
• Identify automation and process improvement opportunities and support UAT and new-process onboarding.
• Maintain documentation and collaborate with developers, analysts, technical teams, and client-facing teams.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in data operations, analytics, or a technology-related role.
• Solid SQL skills, including joins, subqueries, and CTEs.
• Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Logical and analytical thinking, strong communication skills, and attention to detail.
• Fluency in English is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of e-commerce data and industry trends.
• Familiarity with Snowflake or Databricks.
• Previous experience in QA or data validation.
• Experience with agile environments and basic software development processes.
