Climate Data Specialist (AI)

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria

Salary: €23,000–€25,000 per year, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Identify automation opportunities, prototype solutions, and support adoption of AI tools across climate and ESG data workflows.
• Build and maintain Python scripts for data collection, transformation, quality assurance, and reporting.
• Integrate LLM tools for document extraction, content classification, and anomaly detection while validating AI-generated outputs.
• Collect, process, and validate climate and ESG data from company disclosures, vendor feeds, and public filings.
• Design QA frameworks, rule-based checks, anomaly detection logic, dashboards, trackers, and reference systems.
• Improve and standardize workflows, create audit-ready documentation, and collaborate with Research, Product, Technology, vendors, and analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or another quantitative field; Finance, Environmental Science, or Sustainability degrees are also considered with strong technical experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in data operations, data engineering, or analytical roles.
• At least 2 years of hands-on Python experience, with the ability to script, automate, and analyze data pipelines independently.
• Active experience using generative AI and LLM tools in operational workflows, plus working knowledge of SQL.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Understanding of climate frameworks such as TCFD, ISSB, and GRI, as well as carbon reporting standards, is advantageous but not required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
• Exposure to ESG or climate data.
