Sr. Mechanical Engineer - Airflow (HVAC): Developing and validating commercial HVAC products focused on fans, motors, and air-movement systems with an accent on airflow, heat transfer, thermal performance, and subsystem optimization. Focus on designing laboratory test plans, analyzing performance data, solving root-cause issues, and ensuring reliability and compliance with HVAC industry standards.

Location: Clarksville, Tennessee, United States. Hybrid schedule with onsite work Monday through Thursday and flexible work location on Fridays.

Annual base salary: $89,585–$124,950.

What you will do

  • Design, develop, test, and sustain unitary HVAC products focused on fans, motors, and air-movement systems.
  • Evaluate concepts, select components, and develop engineering specifications for airflow subsystems.
  • Apply airflow, heat transfer, and thermal performance fundamentals to assess feasibility and optimize designs.
  • Develop laboratory test plans, analyze test data, and support product validation for performance, quality, and reliability.
  • Use CFD, structured problem solving, and reliability-focused methods to investigate issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead engineers, designers, and lab technicians while supporting compliance with UL, AHRI, ANSI, CSA, ASHRAE, and DOE requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience leading technical aspects of product design, validation testing, and root cause analysis.
  • Experience designing, developing, and testing fans, motors, and air-movement systems.
  • Experience with concept evaluation, component selection, engineering specifications, airflow, heat transfer, and thermal performance.
  • Ability to work onsite in Clarksville, Tennessee, Monday through Thursday.
