Software Engineer (Machine Learning - MLOps)

Location: Based in or near Kraków, Poland; hybrid work with 60% of the week at office locations or local sites and the remainder remotely.

Salary: 20,000–25,000 PLN gross per month, plus up to 20% yearly performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Participate in system design and architecture discussions.
• Translate product needs into technical requirements and collaborate with product, data science, software engineering, and analytics teams.
• Develop high-quality software and bring data science solutions into production across cloud, edge, and big-data environments.
• Perform code reviews and optimize the technical performance of data science solutions.
• Support production systems, resolve incidents, and perform root cause analysis.
• Build and improve solutions using GenAI and apply SDLC practices to release robust software.

Requirements

• Higher degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or science.
• Commercial experience delivering high-impact data science projects in complex organizations.
• Experience building MLOps systems and bringing data science solutions into production.
• Strong programming skills, preferably fluent Python, with knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with Git, software lifecycle tooling, monitoring, logging, alerting, open-source data science environments, and Apache Spark.
• Experience building cloud solutions, ideally with Azure, and familiarity with Scrum or Kanban.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of feature stores and model lifecycle management.
• Background or strong understanding of retail, logistics, or ecommerce.
