Senior Informatica PowerCenter Data Integration Specialist

Location: Lisbon or Porto, Portugal; hybrid work model with up to 3 days remote per week. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do

• Analyze functional and technical requirements to design scalable data architectures.
• Create technical specifications and data flow diagrams for end-to-end ETL processes.
• Develop, test, deploy, and optimize ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter.
• Integrate relational databases, flat files, APIs, XML/JSON, and cloud environments into consolidated data warehouses.
• Tune ETL pipelines and SQL queries, troubleshoot production incidents, and maintain system resilience.
• Implement data governance, security, masking, access controls, documentation, scheduling automation, code reviews, and mentoring for the Porto engineering team.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience as a Data Engineer or ETL Developer.
• Deep expertise with Informatica PowerCenter, including Design, Workflow Manager, and Repository Manager.
• Strong SQL and database experience with Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in Shell scripting and experience with data warehousing methodologies, including star and snowflake schemas.
• Experience integrating heterogeneous data sources and optimizing ETL workflows.
• Fluent English and an existing legal right to work in the European Union are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Informatica Cloud, Data Quality, or MDM.
• Knowledge of Python, Scala, Java, or Spark.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, GCP, or Snowflake.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Jenkins, AutoSys, Scrum, or Kanban.
