Pre-Production Print/Textile Designer (Textile Design)

Location: Remote within the United States

What you will do

• Prepare and finalize textile print artwork for production, including repeats, color setup, layered files, and technical specifications.
• Scale designs across multiple product sizes while preserving proportions, composition, and design intent.
• Maintain layered artwork with overlays, textures, distressing, and other textile-specific effects.
• Review digital artwork, physical samples, and manufacturing outputs to identify discrepancies and refine files.
• Organize production files using naming conventions, version control, and established workflows.
• Collaborate with textile design, product development, and production teams to resolve technical challenges and improve pre-production workflows.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of professional experience in textile design, print design, or pre-production, supported by a strong production-ready portfolio.
• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design or a related discipline.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with complex layered files, textile print preparation, repeats, color setup, scaling, and production workflows.
• Mac proficiency, strong organization, file management, version-control, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, navigate ambiguity, and maintain technical accuracy and visual quality.

Nice to have

• Experience with NedGraphics/Texcelle or Pointcarre.
• Experience with home goods, soft goods, rugs, carpets, or e-commerce product development.
• Strong interest in home and interior design textiles.
