Data Engineer (Snowflake)

Location: Georgia, Moldova, or Ukraine. Flexible work options, including remote and hybrid opportunities, are available. Substantial overlap with US Central Time, especially from 2:00 PM CST onward, is a plus.

hirify.global is delivering a data platform project for a U.S.-based fintech company that provides financing solutions to small and medium-sized businesses.

What you will do

• Build and maintain data pipelines and data products in Snowflake.
• Develop data transformation logic using dbt and migrate existing Alteryx workflows to the new platform.
• Build and maintain orchestration workflows with Dagster or Airflow.
• Validate data outputs, investigate discrepancies, and troubleshoot business logic and transformation issues.
• Implement data quality checks and monitoring for production data products.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, BI, and Data Governance teams and participate in technical design discussions.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with strong hands-on Snowflake experience.
• Practical experience with dbt, SQL, and data modeling.
• Experience with Dagster, Airflow, or comparable orchestration tools.
• Experience building and maintaining production data pipelines.
• Understanding of data quality and monitoring practices.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher. Experience with Cursor or similar AI-assisted development tools is required.

• Snowflake certification.
