Community Impact Capital Fund Investments Associate (LIHTC)

Location: Clayton, Missouri; preferred locations include Columbus, St. Louis, Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago, and New York. Workplace type: Office.

Annual salary: $70,000–$140,000, plus eligibility for applicable incentive compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Underwrite equity investments in LIHTC funds and manage relationships with syndicator partners.
• Act as the primary syndicator contact during fund underwriting and closing.
• Build financial models covering upper-tier benefit schedules, property grids, debt, equity, and related analyses.
• Prepare and present transaction memorandums covering deal structure, budgets, guarantors, compliance, risks, mitigants, and recommendations.
• Review fund documents, including private placement memorandums and subscription documents.
• Track CRA investment goals, treasury management activities, loan opportunity strategies, and coordination with Credit and CRA teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• At least 6 years of LIHTC experience.
• At least 4 years of LIHTC or commercial real estate underwriting and closing experience.
• Strong knowledge of LIHTC fund investments, associated risks, and appropriate mitigants.
• High proficiency in Excel modeling of debt and equity investments.
• Strong presentation, problem-solving, deadline-management, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in finance, accounting, or business.
• At least 8 years of LIHTC experience and 6 years of LIHTC or CRE underwriting and closing experience.
• Tax credit syndications experience and knowledge of State and Historic Tax Credits and debt products.
• Knowledge of financial, accounting, or technology systems.
