Senior IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) Developer – Workflow & Integration Specialist (IBM BAW)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; hybrid work. Candidates must have an existing legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable end-to-end process workflows using IBM Business Automation Workflow.
• Customize Process Designer, Process Portal, and Coach/Coach View components to meet business requirements.
• Integrate IBM BAW with external systems through REST and SOAP APIs.
• Build and enhance Coach-based user interfaces and contribute to frontend components.
• Write unit and integration tests for workflows and business rules.
• Create technical documentation, Swagger API contracts, and system architecture diagrams while collaborating in Agile teams.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of hands-on experience with IBM BAW or IBM Case Manager development.
• Experience designing complex workflows, process models, Coach-based interfaces, and system integrations.
• Strong knowledge of REST and SOAP web services, API frameworks, and SOA architecture.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/ECMAScript and SQL/PL-SQL, plus experience with Git, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Experience with Scrum, Kanban, and CI/CD practices.
• Fluent English and an existing legal right to work in the European Union are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Angular, React, or other modern frontend frameworks.
• Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards.
• Familiarity with Jenkins, pipelines, and enterprise security protocols.
